Astronomine Ancient Observatory

SELsMINE Social Awareness and Self Management

SELsMINE is a two-year Erasmus+ initiative focused on strengthening social-emotional learning (SEL) among secondary school students by utilizing the collaborative and immersive environment of Minecraft. The project addresses the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, aiming to support students' social and emotional well-being through innovative, game-based learning experiences.
Key aspects of the project include:
Integration of SEL into Minecraft: Development of Minecraft scenarios specifically designed to foster SEL skills, allowing students to engage in activities that promote empathy, collaboration, and emotional awareness.

Educational Resources: Creation of lesson plans and teaching materials that enable educators to seamlessly incorporate SEL-focused Minecraft activities into their curricula.

Collaborative Effort: A partnership among six European organizations, including DANMAR Computers, Asserted Knowledge (AKNOW), ATERMON, Digicult, the National Association of Resource Teachers (NART), and the University of Valladolid (UVa), bringing together expertise in education, technology, and game design.
